From Rome and St. Peter’s Basilica to the Royal Palace of Caserta, and from Milan and the Sforza Castle to the archaeological park of Pompeii, restoration projects are underway across the entire peninsula, reviving Italy’s beauty. Today, a team of professionals joins the Opera Laboratori Group—already a leading player in the management, promotion, and communication of cultural heritage—following the acquisition of Fratelli Navarra, one of Italy’s most highly regarded firms in monumental restoration. Thus, Opera Navarra is born: a new key player dedicated to the preservation and revitalization of the nation’s historical and artistic heritage.
The initiative was presented today, Tuesday, July 21, at 12:30 PM in the Sala Bassetti of the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan, attended by senior management. Following opening remarks by Angelo Lorenzo Crespi, Director General of the Pinacoteca di Brera and the Cenacolo Vinciano, speeches were delivered by Giuseppe Costa, Chairman and CEO of the Opera Laboratori Group, and Attilio Maria Navarra, CEO of Opera Navarra.A move for mutual growth
The entry of Opera Navarra into the Opera Laboratori Group—finalized on June 16th with the acquisition of a majority stake—paved the way for a broader transition: the company's transformation into Opera Navarra, formalized on July 13th alongside the appointment of its new governing bodies.
Active since 1999 in the restoration of monuments and the scheduled maintenance of artworks and architectural assets, the company brings to the Opera Laboratori Group a wealth of technical expertise gained through high-profile projects across Italy. Combining this with the Group’s industrial, organizational, and managerial strength aims to create an increasingly robust entity, capable of undertaking ever more complex conservation restoration projects while enhancing public and private cultural, monumental, and spiritual heritage.
Statements
"With Opera Navarra," explains Giuseppe Costa, Chairman and CEO of the Opera Laboratori Group, "we are establishing a fundamental component of our growth strategy: we are no longer limiting ourselves to safeguarding, promoting, and communicating cultural heritage; we are now fully engaging in its physical restoration—the process that begins at the work site and in the hands of the restorers. It is an investment in skills, people, and a long-term vision for the care of our country’s cultural assets. It is clear that the Opera Laboratori Group can now offer—through its subsidiaries—a comprehensive strategic vision for Italian cultural heritage: Opera Navarra provides restoration support; Sillabe handles publishing and merchandising; Studio3 manages video production and multimedia content; Opera San Gimignano focuses on the recovery and redevelopment of cultural sites; and Papesse Immobiliare offers a contemporary perspective on culture. Throughout this, we maintain the high quality standards that continue to make Opera Laboratori a national leader in the management, promotion, and communication of public, ecclesiastical, and private cultural heritage."
"Joining the Opera Laboratori Group," comments Attilio Maria Navarra, CEO of Opera Navarra, "means looking to the future with an even more solid foundation, without compromising the qualities that have distinguished us for over twenty-five years: artisanal attention to detail and technical rigor on every project site. With Opera Navarra’s new identity, we will continue to serve our clients and partners with our customary standard of reliability, while benefiting from a larger organizational structure and new opportunities for growth."OPERA LABORATORI GROUP
